Global India Fund (GIF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization aimed at inspiring philanthropy and service across the globe to support innovative programs and interventions in India. GIF raises awareness and supports health, education, and livelihood programs through partnerships with individuals, corporations, and government agencies. In addition, GIF has been implementing global communication campaigns to raise awareness and spark action for issues related to girls and women in India.
Since its inception in 2008, Global India Fund has been collaborating with Samhita-Collective Good Foundation (CGF) in India. Selected projects include Good CSR funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; TechCamp funded through the U.S. Department of State; the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence funded by the U.S. Department of State; and Videos for Women’s Empowerment funded by the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai.
Most recently, GIF has joined forces with the Samhita-CGF to launch the Together for India Campaign to support immediate healthcare needs during the COVID-19 crisis (medical supplies, oxygen concentrators), and to implement a vaccination program to ensure vaccines are equitably distributed among low-income and marginalized communities.
